Meeta is once again Coordinating the Career Incubator event “Minds Matter LA” with the Chapter in downtown Los Angeles. It is a great opportunity for students to hear professionals from all industries – Tech, Finance, Education, Healthcare, and Energy talk about their transition into project management and subsequent careers. It was clear from the panel that project management skills are transferable into any industry.
The students were shy at first, but soon opened up asking probing questions, and joining us for lunch to find out more. The panel enjoyed the interaction and the opportunity to provide them with more food for thought than just the food on the table! And all agreed that it was a great academic outreach event. We hope to do it again next year.
