Managing Projects Remotely during the Pandemic

Premise: For the past two years, everyone on the planet was part of an unannounced and uncontrolled experiment in collaborating, teaming and conducting work remotely. Our profession has long touted remote and highly distributed approaches to projects large and small. In March 2020, remote teams and collaborative software warped from specialty to mainstream — a decade of adoption happened overnight, from family nights to the largest enterprises.

Other than Zoom Fatigue, Distributed Workplaces, Constant Adaptation, and Don’t Panic, what did we learn from the Pandemic that applies to ourselves, our colleagues, and to future practice? What lessons should influence our standard practices and/or the PMBOK? Do they vary by Discipline, Industry, Organization or Border?
