Ajay Bengali

 

Ajay Bengali is a Certified PMP for 11+ years, with 20+ years of Program/Project Management experience in Hardware products across Aerospace and Data Storage industries.  He has been a member of the Project Management Institute since 2003, been affiliated with local Southern California chapters of Los Angeles and Orange County.  He has been a regular instructor at PMP Workshops since 2008 for both PMI-LA and PMI-OC chapters, having covered all but Risk Management of the PMBOK Knowledge areas during the past 6 years.  He has also instructed Project Management courses on “Manufacturing Engineering Project Management” and “Managing Quality in Project Management” for University CLA Extension program.  He holds Project Management Certificate credentials from University of California, Irvine.  By profession, Ajay is an Engineer with 37+ years of experience in R&D and Manufacturing Engineering to introduce Computer Peripherals, Data Storage, Airborne and Space Microwave Integrated Circuit products to OEM and Aerospace customers.  He holds MS and Ph.D. degrees in Engineering from University of California, Los Angeles.  Currently, he is working at Raytheon as a Section Manager for the Space and Airborne Systems Division in El Segundo, CA.

Kim Brant-Lucich

Kim is the IS Site Director for Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in San Pedro.  In that role, she manages and oversees information technology for the hospital as well as for a Physician/Hospital joint venture.   Prior employers include Zynx Health, St. Joseph Health in Orange County, and Kaiser Permanente.  At Zynx Health, Kim managed a team of project managers and oversaw implementation of Clinical Decision Support solutions for the Western United States.   As Director of Process Redesign, Information Services for St. Joseph Health System in Orange, CA, she developed a web-enabled, reusable methodology for process redesign and change management for system implementation project.  She also worked closely with IT and Business Executives to develop IT Strategic Roadmaps and Value Propositions for IT initiatives.

In addition to her current responsibilities, Kim is also an adjunct professor of Advanced Healthcare Information Technology at Cal State University, Long Beach.  She authored a chapter on the “Principles of Process Redesign” for a 2009 HIMSS publication, entitled “Performance Improvement in Hospitals and Health Systems.”  Kim is past Chair of the HIMSS ME-PI Community and a current member of the HIE Committee.  Kim holds her PMP and is a volunteer instructor for PMI’s PMP prep course.

He holds Bachelor degree in Computer Science and Master of Business Administration with specialization in Finance. Over the years, he has performed leading roles in projects spanning business areas of Sales, Marketing, Compliance, Manufacturing, Accounting/Finance, Product Rights and Royalty Management.

Amit achieved PMP certification in 2003 and has been teaching PMP Prep course at various PMI chapters since last 10 years.

His expertise includes implementing Corporate Performance Management, design Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence systems, consolidate legacy IT systems and data integration.

Jeff Pierce

 

Jeff is an Independent Senior Program Manager leading global business strategic initiatives and IT implementations for top Silicon Valley hardware, software, manufacturing and services companies.  He received his PMP certification in 2008 after taking the PMP Prep course from PMI-LA!!!  The same course you are taking!  He has been a Senior Program/Project Manager leading full-cycle CRM/SFDC, accounts receivable, asset management, purchase ordering, accounts payable, payroll, project cost management, general ledger and billing implementations with Agile Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.

Industries include: High Tech hardware/software, Banking, Mortgage Lending, Insurance, Telecommunications, Utilities, Transportation, Logistics and Retail industries for Dow Component, Fortune 100 and Government clients

Prior to his PM focus, he specialized in ERP solutions for 11 years in the Professional Services division of the same software company.  He started his career as a Big 4 college hire with Andersen Consulting/Accenture and then Ernst & Young.

Vera Teller is currently on staff at California State University Dominguez Hills as a Lecturer in the College of Business Administration and Public Policy.  Her professional career spans over 25 years’ experience in business, management, and information systems as Director of Systems and Programming for Safeway (Vons) and Trader Joe's, consultant for EDS, and Program Manager for WellPoint.

Vera holds a Ph.D. and MA from the Fielding Graduate University in Human and Organization Development, an MBA from California State University, Los Angeles, specializing in business information systems and has certification from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in data communications, microcomputer and LAN support.  She is PMI certified since 2000.

Vera’s interest in career advancement opportunities in the information technology (IT) field is based on personal and professional experience.  She extensively researched networks and their impact on women’s careers. She has been a speaker for Pasadena Community TV Channel 56 on unemployment issues.  She also spoke at the Project Management Institute chapter conferences, Business Analysts conference, Los Angeles Quality Assurance conference, and Chinese American IT conference on societal factors that created barriers to women advancing in the work- place.

Vera serves on the Executive Committee as Secretary for Women At Work; a non-profit organization helping all people reach their full employment and earnings potential.  Vera wrote and managed the strategic planning process for 2011 – 2016.
